Sahibzada Farhan has once again attracted attention, this time for unveiling a new bat sticker in Pakistan inspired by his controversial AK-47 celebration against India during the Super Four clash of the Asia Cup. The 28-year-old named the sticker “Gunmode” and stated in a video that he plans to use it in future matches, signalling that his flamboyant antics are here to stay.Click here to watch the video. Farhan first made headlines when he reached his half-century in Dubai against India, pulling off the now-infamous gesture of mimicking firing an AK-47 with his bat after hitting a six off Axar Patel. The display stunned spectators in the stadium and immediately went viral on social media, drawing both attention and criticism. Farhan continued his aggressive approach in the Asia Cup final, hitting three sixes off India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and scoring 57 off 34 balls. He also put on an 84-run opening stand with Fakhar Zaman.

However, despite his individual exploits, Pakistan’s innings fell apart as the team lost nine wickets for just 33 runs, eventually being bowled out for 146. India then chased the modest target with ease, with Tilak Varma hitting a crucial six in the penultimate over to secure a five-wicket victory and retain the Asia Cup. Farhan’s flamboyant celebrations could not mask the team’s collapse. Also Read: Despite Asia Cup embarrassment, Pakistan felicitate batter Sahibzada Farhan What makes the situation more striking is that Farhan has been felicitated in Pakistan for these very antics, underscoring how such theatrics are being glorified despite the team’s failures. Critics argue that these gestures do little for the game itself and instead highlight over-the-top theatrics, overshadowing true cricketing achievement. Farhan’s new Gunwood sticker serves as a reminder that in Pakistan, personal flair often takes precedence over sportsmanship and team performance.
