US President Donald Trump said on Thursday in a post on Truth Social that the United States would be forced to take lethal action against Hamas if the group “continues to kill people in Gaza.”In the post, Trump wrote: “If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not the Deal, we will have no choice but to go in and kill them.”His comments came as footage circulated online showing a public execution and other displays of force by Hamas fighters in Gaza since the US-brokered ceasefire began last week.In direct contravention just days after a Gaza peace document was signed in a much hyped Gaza peace summit on October 13, chaired by Trump himself alongside Egyptian President el-Sisi.It came as both Israel and Hamas agreed to a 20-point peace plan proposed by Trump, which led to weeks long negotiations between the two sides involving major Arab and global powers.
