Former NHL star Ryan Kesler, a two-time U.S. Olympian and longtime Vancouver Canucks standout, is once again in the spotlight. And, this time, due to a major legal development. The case against him, involving two misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, has officially been ordered to proceed to trial on Thursday.According to the criminal complaint, the alleged incident occurred on January 1 in Orchard Lake, Michigan. Kesler is accused of having sexual contact with a 16-year-old who was reportedly a friend of his daughter. The complaint further states that the actions involved force or coercion or that Kesler knew the victim was physically helpless.
