JEE Main exam dates 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the schedule for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. The change was announced after the release of the exam city slip on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.As per the latest update, JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be held from January 21 to January 29, 2026. The earlier notice had stated that the exams would continue till January 30. The revised schedule shortens the exam window by one day.NTA has released the exam city intimation slip for Session 1. Candidates can check it online. To access the city slip, candidates must enter their application number. They must also use their password or date of birth and the security pin shown on the screen.The city slip only informs candidates about the exam city. It is not the admit card.

JEE Main 2026: Papers and exam format

JEE Main is conducted for two papers. Paper 1 is held for BE and BTech courses. Paper 2 is conducted for BArch and BPlanning courses. The exam is held in multiple shifts across India and abroad.

JEE Main admit cards expected soon

As per the official information bulletin, JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit cards are likely to be released in the second week of January 2026. The admit card will carry details such as exam date, shift timing and exam centre address.Candidates can follow the steps elucidates here to download the JEE Main admit card 2026 as mentioned here:

  • Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the link for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Admit Card.
  • Enter the application number and password or date of birth.
  • Enter the security pin displayed on the screen.
  • Click on the submit button.
  • The admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Download it and take a printout for the examination day.
