Former vice president Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff have purchased a $8.15 million mansion in Malibu, California, reports the Daily Mail.

The property includeds four-bedrooms, six bathrooms and sits in the exclusive Point Dume neighbourhood. The area is known for its celebrity residents, including Gerard Butler, Owen Wilson and Julia Roberts.The 4,000-square-foot property is just a few metres away from the beach, and it “blends modern luxury with natural beauty,” according to the listing. The sale was reported on 2 December 2025, coming as Harris and Emhoff already own a 3,500-square-foot home in Brentwood, purchased by Emhoff in 2012 for $2.7 million. The property, which has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, is now valued at $4.8 million, according to Zillow.
Previous residences
Previously, Harris lived in a $1.77 million two-bedroom apartment in Washington which she bought in 2017 after being elected to the Senate and sold for $1.85 million in 2021. While serving as VP, she resided at Number One Observatory Circle, the 9,150-square-foot historic residence that has hosted every Vice President since 1977. George HW Bush famously hosted 900 parties there during his tenure.
