US President Donald Trump has invited his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to join the proposed Gaza “Board of Peace,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.He noted that Moscow would first seek to “clarify all the nuances” of the proposal with Washington before taking a decision.“President Putin has received an invitation to join this Board of Peace. Russia will clarify all the nuances of the offer with the United States,” Peskov told reporters, according to AFP.Putin is the latest world leader to be invited by Trump to join the board, which would be chaired by the US president himself alongside a Palestinian committee of technocrats tasked with governing the war-ravaged territory.A secondary “executive board” would also be established, likely serving a more advisory role.Board of PeaceAccording to the White House, the board would focus on areas such as “governance capacity-building, regional relations, reconstruction, investment attraction, large-scale funding, and capital mobilisation.”In addition to Trump, its members would include US secretary of state Marco Rubio, special envoy Steve Witkoff, the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, billionaire financier Mark Rowan, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and Robert Gabriel of the United States National Security Council.National Committee for Administration of GazaThis body, composed of technocrats, is to be headed by Ali Shaath, former Palestinian Authority deputy minister.
