Maharashtra deputy CM and NCP chief Ajit Pawar dies in plane crash in Baramati

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar died Wednesday morning in a plane crash in Pune district’s Baramati, as his aircraft failed to land.Pawar’s plane carried, 4 other people besides him.Pawar was serving as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra and was the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party faction that split from the party in 2023, while the other faction remained with his uncle and veteran politician Sharad Pawar.
