NEW DELHI: Several schools in the national capital received bomb threat emails on Monday, triggering panic among students, parents, and school authorities, and prompting an immediate response from security agencies.Teams from local police stations, along with K9 units and bomb detection and disposal squads, were rushed to the affected schools as a precautionary measure.

The bomb threat message stated that “Delhi will become Khalistan,” police said.School premises were promptly evacuated, and extensive anti-sabotage checks were carried out to ensure the safety of students and staff.Police said no suspicious objects were found during the searches. Investigations are currently underway to trace the origin of the threatening emails and identify those responsible.According to sources, the email was sent at around 7.22 am. The sender claimed that an explosion would take place at approximately 1.11 pm on Monday. The message also alleged that Parliament would be targeted at 1.11pm on February 13.This is not the first such incident. Last month, several schools across Delhi received similar bomb threat emails, leading to widespread panic and heightened security arrangements across the city.Sources further revealed that the latest email claimed that blasts would occur at three to four schools in Chandigarh.
