As Ramadan approaches, Global Village has confirmed its operating hours and programme for the Holy Month, setting the stage for evenings centred on culture, food and togetherness. Now in its 30th season, the destination will operate daily from 5pm, closing at 1am from Sunday to Wednesday and extending until 2am from Thursday to Saturday. From the first evening of Ramadan, Global Village will shift into a night-focused rhythm, welcoming families and groups looking to gather after iftar or enjoy late-night outings in an open-air setting.

A park dressed for Ramadan evenings

Throughout the month, the destination will be adorned with traditional Ramadan-themed decor. Glowing lanterns, crescent motifs, warm ambient lighting and dedicated photo installations will be placed across the park, creating a calm yet festive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the season.

Multaqa introduces a new space to gather

One of the key additions this Ramadan is Multaqa Global Village, a free, tent-style seating area inspired by traditional majlis gatherings. Designed to encourage socialising, the space offers comfortable seating, soft festoon lighting and a welcoming layout where visitors can pause, converse and spend time together.Located in front of the Main Stage, Multaqa allows guests to bring food from nearby kiosks and rent traditional games from the on-site team, offering a relaxed experience suitable for iftar, suhoor or late-night visits.

Live shows and cultural performances

Ramadan nights will feature a curated line-up of live entertainment on the Main Stage. Performances include Orchestra, Oud, Nay, Harp and Violin music, alongside the traditional Tannoura show.

Akher Kalam, hosted by Maitha Mohammed, will run from February 18 to March 18 at 11pm. Al Mandoos Live Game Show, hosted by Abdulla Esmaeel, will take place at 9.30pm across three consecutive weekends starting Friday, February 20. A special drone show is also scheduled for February 20 at 9.30pm.

Dining, shopping and wellness

Visitors can explore 250 dining options offering global flavours for iftar and suhoor. Shopping spans 30 cultural pavilions representing over 90 cultures, while the Ramadan Step Challenge returns via the Global Village app, rewarding guests who complete 10,000 steps in one visit.
