Sunny Deol hints at a change in the title of ‘Lahore 1947’
In an interview with ANI, Sunny Deol announced the release date of the film unofficially. He said, “Meri dher saari films aane wali hain. Unme se ek ‘Lahore 1947’ hai… Shayad title change ho sakta hai, shayad wohi rakhe. Film ek famous play pe based hai. 15 August ke time cinema halls me lagegi (I have several films in the pipeline. One of them is ‘Lahore 1947’… though the title may change, or it might ultimately stay the same. The film is an adaptation of a celebrated stage play and is slated for a theatrical release in August).”

Rajkumar Santoshi decided to adapt the play ‘Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai’ by Asghar Wajahat for the big screen with ‘Lahore 1947’. As per the reports, the filmmaker had narrated the story to Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt; however, it didn’t work out. Meanwhile, the director is happy that he is working with his first choice, Sunny Deol, on the film.Reportedly, Sunny Deol’s son, Karan Deol, will also feature in the movie.
