According to Live Law, the apex court upheld the trial court’s findings and set aside the reduced punishment granted earlier, stressing that the evidence on record justified the original sentence. The verdict was given based on the persistent requests of Prathyusha’s mother, who was perpetually seeking Justice to declare her daughter’s death as a suicide.
