The hunger in mountains hits harder than in the plains. And that when hot, steaming and spicy, becomes more than food—it becomes comfort. And most importantly, people, visitors are ready to pay any amount for this comfort. “I’m here to see how much money we can make by selling Maggi in the mountains for one day,” he says in the beginning of the video.Badal noticed that people would trek for hours, most of the time underprepared, only to find that food options were scarce or overpriced. INR 70 per plate wasn’t cheap. But in that moment, in that cold weather, such an amount feels fair.The viral video It was a humble setup that started it all. Later in the video, he estimated that he had sold between 300 and 350 plates of Maggi, which when multiplied by 70 (30 x 70) added up to about ₹21,000.
