Kristi Noem's rumored boyfriend Corey Lewandowski believed 'Trump would pardon him', he could do whatever he wanted

Amid the unceremonious exit of Kristi Noem from the Department of Homeland Security over several issues including her alleged relationship with Corey Lewandowski, New York Post reported explosive things that Lewandowski said about his invincibility. The Post reported that he used to brag that he could do whatever he wanted as President Trump would always pardon him. “I’m not worried. I do whatever the f**k I want. DJT will pardon me,” Lewandowski told one of The Post’s sources last year, the report claimed. But what did Noem’s rumored boyfriend do that he would require a pardon from the president? Lewandowski raised this question reacting to Post’s claims and said he never said he would do whatever he wanted and he never needed pardon from the president. “Never said that. Never asked for a pardon and have no reason to receive one,” Lewandowski said. NBC reported that President Trump asked aides whether Lewandowski personally profited from the $220 million federal advertising campaign that featured Kristi Noem. While Noem said Trump approved the budget for the advertisement, Trump said he never approved and Noem lied. “He’s mentioned the ads several times,” a senior White House official said, referring to Trump asking questions about Lewandowski’s role in the ad contract.Though Lewandowski was Trump’s close aide in 2016, Trump has now grown suspicious about him as Lewandowski served as a “special government employee” at DHS for more than a year, operating as a de facto chief of staff to Noem. DHS officials and lobbyists believe he has wielded outsize influence in the awarding of federal contracts.Lewandowski said he never received any money, not even a penny, from any of the contracts. Lewandowski told NBC News he had spoken with Trump on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of last week — the three days before Noem was fired — and that the president had not brought up the ads or contracts with him. He also said that it is his own decision whether he leaves DHS with Noem on March 31 and that he has not made up his mind about that.“Since I’ve known the guy for 11 years, I think it’s fair to say if he had a concern about something I was doing, he would raise it,” Lewandowski said of Trump in the interview.
