SILIGURI/KOLKATA: The Centre on Friday asked Bengal govt to send Darjeeling DM Manish Mishra and Siliguri police commissioner C Sudhakar on central deputation to Delhi by Monday over an alleged protocol breach during President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the region last week, report Roshan Gupta & Debashis Konar. The TMC govt immediately shifted Mishra as special secretary in the home department. No step was taken for Sudhakar till the filing of this report. The Centre sought the deputations through a letter to Bengal chief secretary Nandini Chakravorty even as the state provided an explanation to the Union home ministry on the alleged breach. Bengal govt said Murmu’s detailed itinerary, including the list of officials who would receive her, was cleared by both the Centre and the President’s office.
