KOPPAL: Aglittering luxury watch on the wrist of Congress MLA K Raghavendra Hitnal stole the spotlight at a village programme and quickly turned into the hottest talking point in the area.Hitnal was seen sporting a Hublot wristwatch, estimated to cost at least Rs 18 lakh, during an event at Hirebaganal village in Koppal taluk Friday. The timepiece caught the eyes of locals almost instantly, with many whispering about the watch long after the speeches ended.Soon, photos of the MLA wearing the luxury watch began circulating. Hitnal, however, was quick to clear the air, saying the watch was not his. According to him, he had earlier given his own watch to a friend, who in turn lent him the Hublot for a day. “I wore it for just one day. What is wrong with that?” Hitnal said.
