While Rakesh brings plenty of humour to the film, it’s the climax that truly elevates his character. Portraying a seasoned politician who has wielded influence in Lyari for over three decades, his role takes a dramatic turn when a major secret is unveiled. In a gripping revelation, his character confesses to Hamza—played by Ranveer Singh and also his son-in-law—that he is actually an Indian spy, much like him.The first installment had already showcased Rakesh Bedi in a layered role, where his scheming often added intrigue, even when it didn’t go as planned. It also touched upon real-life events like the 2008 Mumbai attacks and the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, offering a glimpse into intelligence operations. The sequel dives deeper into Hamza’s past, exploring his identity as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, his rise in Lyari, and the personal struggles he endured.
