However, despite her time away from the basketball court, Cunningham could not control herself from reacting to Fever’s victory over Las Vegas Aces during the recent playoff. The Fever’s rookie turned emotional after their first playoff victory of 2025 WNBA season.

Despite undergoing recovery due to her torn MCL, Sophie Cunningham proves she is a true blue cheerleader for the Fever. The Las Vegas Aces were defeated by Indiana Fever during the recent playoff game. The 29-year-old Fever’s point guard was spotted at the stands on Sunday, witnessing every moment of the nail biting game between the two clubs. During the match, she was spotted exclaiming, “Woo, that’s big time. That’s big time right there.”The WNBA star could not contain her emotions after the Fever’s defeated Aces and headed straightaway to the locker room. Sophie Cunningham even shared the Fever’s winning post on her Instagram story and captioned it as, “dubs in the chat.”Despite not being the Fever’s gear, Sophie Cunningham’s team spirit and energy levels were on a very different level for all the right reasons.

During a recent appearance on Show Me Something podcast, Sophie Cunningham spoke about the playoff between Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces. The talented rookie even laid out the possible fear-factor for Fever. She said, “Their best player, A’ja… One of our best players is [Aliyah Boston]… They’ll be guarding each other. And I think that’s what makes it so cool. Both are healthy, and the key to really stopping them is stopping A’ja.”

Cunningham further elaborated,“I think the matchup between AB and A’ja was huge. Huge, huge. So we’ve still got to key in on that. And then our roster is completely, completely different. I think the key matchup right there is AB and A’ja, and it has always been a freakin’ battle. They go at it.
