INDORE: A young man allegedly ran over his ex-girlfriend with a speeding Activa in the Heera Nagar area of the city after she refused to live with him again. The incident took place on Wednesday evening in Kalpana Nagar area, police said.According to Heeranagar police station in-charge Sushil Patel, the accused, identified as Rajendra Chaurasia, stopped the woman on the street and insisted on living together. When she refused, an argument broke out between them. Enraged, Rajendra left the spot but soon returned on an Activa, speeding towards her. The woman tried to defend herself by lifting a stone, but the accused did not stop and hit her with the vehicle before fleeing the scene. Passersby managed to help and lift her to safety.CCTV footage of the incident has emerged, and the victim has filed a complaint at the police station.Rajendra has been booked for molestation and attempted murder. Police said the accused has seven prior criminal cases registered against him, and a manhunt is underway to apprehend him.
