Long term Tesla investor and Gerber Kawasaki co-founder Ross Gerber is not happy with the EV maker’s latest launches – cheaper Model Y and Model 3. In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Gerber has blasted both the models and CEO Elon Musk. So much so that the Tesla bull claimed in an X post that the “CEO killed that car”. “If you buy this car, cheap model Y/3, you will lose money,” Gerber warns, adding “They (Tesla) will lower the price soon and you just paid $5 k too much.” He further advises Tesla fans to “Only lease new teslas. Take this as a warning”.For those unaware, Tesla recently launched two new affordable versions of the Model Y and Model 3, called Model Y Standard and Model 3 Standard. The new models are aimed to revive the company’s declining sales, attracting a wider customer base.

Taking a dig at the Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Ross Gerber has shared a sarcastic piece of advice on X. He writes in the post:“Take the gold cab. Put a steering wheel in it. Charge $30k for a gold 2 door tesla. And there you have it. People would want one. But the CEO killed that car…”In another post, Ross Gerber slammed Tesla’s new models, writing “Even the lemmings can’t defend this car. It serves no purpose and cheapens the tesla experience. But hey, give the CEO a trillion.”“Literally called it. $7500 less good only to eat sales from higher priced models. Why? Because the tax credit got pilfered by the ceo himself,” Gerber writes in another X post.
