Sam Altman is “coming soon” to India

Altman emphasised that India’s “momentum is unmatched anywhere in the world”, adding, “I think India may be our largest market in the world, at some point, in the not very distant future.” He added that the “energy is incredible” and he is “looking forward to coming soon.”He further elaborated on the shift from being merely a consumer to a producer in the AI space.“I feel like the question really is, how do we transition from being a consumer to be a producer, where we can build something that other people use outside of India? That was what I meant. I mean, there’s lots of things happening there, but that was the thing I meant. I think that’s really happening already in a big way,” Altman said. The OpenAI chief particularly praised the entrepreneurial energy dedicated to building with AI in India, expressing hope for its continued growth.
