HYDERABAD: A techie from Kerala allegedly sexually harassed a stewardess and left obscene messages aboard an Air India Dubai-Hyderabad flight (AI-2204) on Friday. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Police arrested the accused passenger — identified as Biniyam Nazar, who is in his 30s — based on a complaint filed by a senior AI cabin crew member.According to the FIR, Nazar, who was seated in 17C, touched a stewardess inappropriately while she was working. Crew members later noticed that he appeared intoxicated and alerted the captain and ground staff. Upon landing, Nazar told the cabin crew he had misplaced his passport. While searching his seat, the cabin crew found a handwritten note with “obscene and abusive remarks” allegedly aimed at an airhostess.RGIA cops registered a case under BNS Sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 75(1)(ii) (sexual harassment) and 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and handed the accused over to the police.
