Maha civic polls: Voter ID cards found in garbage

CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: The discovery of several Aadhaar, PAN, and voter identity cards in a garbage heap at Savarkar Chowk in Jalna city Sunday, barely three days ahead of the municipal corporation elections in Maharashtra, has raised concerns, reports Mohammed Akhef. Officials said the model code of conduct cell received a complaint, stating that 17 Aadhaar cards, three, PAN cards, and four voter ID cards – 24 in all – were found discarded. An FIR was lodged in the case.
