Epstein investigations: Clintons refuse to testify in probe- How exactly did Bill know Jeffrey?

Bill and Hillary Clinton have refused to testify in a Republican-led congressional investigation of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, saying it was a partisan exercise.“Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough and are ready to fight for this country, its principles and its people, no matter the consequences,” the Clintons wrote in a letter to Republican Representative James Comer, who chairs the House of Representatives Oversight Committee. “For us, now is that time.”

Comer said the committee will meet next week to hold former Democratic President Bill Clinton in contempt, which could potentially lead to criminal charges, as per Reuters. The Clintons said they had tried to provide what “little information” they had to help with the investigation and accused Comer of shifting focus away from the Trump administration’s actions. Epstein died in jail in 2019, during President Donald Trump’s first term in office, while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges. His death was ruled a suicide.“If the Government didn’t do all it could to investigate and prosecute these crimes, for whatever reason, that should be the focus of your work… There is no evidence that you are doing so,” the Clintons wrote.“There is no plausible explanation for what you are doing other than partisan politics,” they said.Clinton has expressed regret about the relationship and has said he knew nothing about Epstein’s criminal activity. So the question is now how much did Clinton know about Epstein?Clinton recently again came back into the spotlight when his photos in a bathtub and a flight with young women resurfaced and made people think about their relationship. Their relation was first revealed through flight logs. Yes. Flight logs released through civil litigation show Clinton traveled on Epstein’s private jet several times between 2002 and 2003, after leaving the White House, visiting multiple international destinations. Ghislaine Maxwell was listed as a passenger on those trips. Clinton’s last known flight on Epstein’s plane was in 2003, before Epstein came under investigation in Florida in 2005, ABC reported. No Epstein survivor or associate has publicly accused Clinton of wrongdoing. Clinton’s representatives have consistently denied any improper conduct, saying he never visited Epstein’s private island, Little St. James, and that his travel was connected to Clinton Foundation work. Epstein and Maxwell also denied that Clinton ever went to the island, though Virginia Giuffre claimed she met Clinton there—an assertion disputed by Epstein, Maxwell, and Clinton, and later partially walked back in legal testimony.Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s accusers, previously claimed she met Clinton on the island, but those assertions were disputed by Epstein, Maxwell, and Clinton, and were later partially walked back in sworn testimony. No corroborating flight records support claims that Clinton traveled to the island.
