HYDERABAD: A group of gig workers allegedly attacked the security guards of a prominent gated community at Moosapet in Kukatpally for stopping one of them as part of security protocol.The incident of the guards being brutally beaten up by the group of delivery boys was caught on CCTV cameras. According to the Kukatpally police, one of the guards had stopped Wasim, a delivery boy, at the gate as part of security protocol. This led to an argument between the two. Later, the guard allowed him to deliver the parcel, after which Wasim left the premises. A few hours later, he returned with a group of other gig workers, and attacked the security guards.The group thrashed the guards ruthlessly, despite onlookers trying to intervene and diffuse the situation. One of the guards, who suffered bleeding injuries, was shifted to hospital. Based on a complaint by the gated community’s security manager, the Kukatpally police registered a criminal case against Wasim and others, and are yet to arrest him. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
