Lindsey Vonn has decided to push forward after a devastating knee injury. Days after tearing her ACL in a World Cup crash, the American legend confirmed her intent to compete at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. It was undoubtedly a risky move. However, amid the chatter, Vonn received an unexpected show of support from one of sport’s newest ambassadors.Snoop Dogg, serving as an honorary Team USA coach ahead of the 2026 Winter Games, offered public encouragement. The rap icon who has been in the recent headlines for his presence in sporting events, showered praise for Vonn with a message of support.

Snoop Dogg did not hold back while addressing Vonn’s resolve. Speaking to Access Hollywood as he prepared for his role around Team USA, the rap icon praised her mindset and impact.“Lindsay, let me say this to you, baby girl. You are a true champion. This is what it’s all about. Standing up for something and fighting for what you believe in,” Snoop Dogg said.

Lindsey Vonn addresses ruptured ACL and decision to come back

Vonn has been direct and detailed about her condition and the process behind her decision. Four days after the crash in Switzerland, she confirmed plans to race following medical reviews and on-snow testing.“After extensive consultations with doctors, intense therapy, physical tests, as well as skiing today, I have determined I am capable of competing in the Olympic Downhill on Sunday,” Lindsey shared on Instagram Feb. 3. “Of course, I will still need to do one training run, as is required to race on Sunday, but… I am confident in my body’s ability to perform.”She acknowledged the setback while holding onto possibility.“I know what my chances in these Olympics were before this crash, and even though my chances aren’t the same now, there is still a chance,” she wrote. “And as long as I have a chance, I will not lose hope. I will not give up! It’s not over yet!”Vonn revealed additional injuries, including bone bruising and meniscal tears, while emphasizing daily evaluations with her medical team.“I do not have swelling and my muscles are firing and reacting as they should,” she explained. “I will obviously be continuing to evaluate with my medical team on a daily basis to make sure we are making smart decisions but I have every intention of competing on Sunday.”Regardless, Vonn’s “Olympic dream is not over” as the skiing legend is set out to do her biggest move.
