Muslims killed ‘over rejection of extremist ideology’ in Nigeria


Authorities in Nigeria’s Kwara state say an attack that killed dozens of people was driven by ideology, not criminal banditry, blaming Islamist militant group Boko Haram.

The state governor said residents of Kaiama community were attacked after they rejected a particular interpretation of Islam. He said 75 Muslims were among those killed.
