NEW DELHI: One person died and another sustained injuries after a vehicle struck two individuals near 11 Murti on Mother Teresa Road in New Delhi on Sunday.Delhi Police confirmed the incident stating: “One person is dead, and another injured, after they were hit by a car on 11 Murti Road earlier today. The car driver has been detained.“The car is registered in the name of Ankit Adnani, a resident of Ahimsa Khand, Ghaziabad. He had given his car to his friend, Ashish, a 26-year-old resident of Shakarpur. Police said Ashish was coming from Dhaula Kuan on Sunday morning and was heading towards Shakarpur when the incident occurred. He is currently undergoing medical examination. During their investigation, police discovered a liquor bottle inside the vehicle. A forensic team is currently examining the bottle to determine if alcohol was a factor in the accident.
