Fans may still be waiting patiently for director Nitesh Tiwari to release the trailer of his upcoming mythological epic ‘Ramayana’, but according to the latest reports, the team has already hosted a first test screening.The makers of the film have reportedly received encouraging and positive audience reactions following its first test screening in Los Angeles. At a time when social media is abuzz with fans handles posting about the positive feedback from the screening, a new report has shared the deets.

According to The Week, a special screening was held this week at Cinemark Playa Vista in Los Angeles for a select few audience. The invite-only show reportedly featured viewers from varied age groups, ranging from 18 to 60 years. The report states that initial feedback from attendees has been ‘overwhelmingly positive’, with the audiences praising the film’s ambitious scale, visual effects and emotional storytelling. ‘Ramayana’ mounted on a large budget, is planned as a two-part cinematic event, with the first instalment slated for a Diwali 2026 release, and the second part expected to release on Diwali 2027.Featuring an ensemble cast, the film is led by Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Besides the much-talked-about VFX, the film’s music by Oscar-winning composers A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer has had fans buzzing with excitement.Meanwhile, as far as the film’s trailer, posters and other promotional material is concerned, the makers are expected to release the clips in a grand fashion over the upcoming festive holidays, leading up to the November 5 release.
