WWE legend John Cena<\/a> has officially confirmed his return to WWE<\/a> and announced on Monday that he will serve as the official host of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. This sudden announcement marks Cena’s return to WWE programming after he retired from in-ring competition in 2025. WrestleMania 42 is scheduled to take place on April 18 and 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and will be a two-night event featuring stars from WWE\u2019s Raw and SmackDown brands. Cena revealed in his official statement that although he will not be competing in a match, he will serve as the event’s official host and will be part of the show in a special role. The 17-time World Champion, who retired from in-ring competition last December after his loss to Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event, is now making his first return to WWE since his retirement. The Cenation Leader made the official announcement on his Twitter\/X account, stating, Since retirement, my \u201croad\u201d has looked a little different\u2026 but now I can officially say I\u2019m headed to WrestleMania!!!! See you in Las Vegas!Previously, Cena was a part of WrestleMania 41, where he fought against Cody Rhodes and defeated the American Nightmare, with the help of US rapper Travis Scott.
