Billionaire Bryan Johnson says one reason he doesn't eat meat is AI, says: , AI may be as powerful and ...

Billionaire Bryan Johnson known for his anti-aging experiment of $2 million — Project Blueprint has revealed a surprising reason behind his decision to ditch meat: artificial intelligence. In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) Johnson wrote, “I don’t eat meat for two reasons. First, scientific evidence paints a path to optimal health without it. Second, very soon, AI may be as powerful and dominant to us as we are to animals. It’s prudent to keep this in mind.”

Ethics, longevity, and AI alignment

The statement made by anti-aging influencer Bryan Johnson reflects a broader philosophical concern: that the treatment of animals by human today could set a precedent for how advanced AI systems will treat humans in the future. By going for a plant-based diet, Johnson hopes to model compassion and ethical restraint values he believes should be embedded in AI development. This perspective aligns with Johnson’s long-standing interest in AI alignment. For those unaware, it is a filed focused on making sure that future AI systems act in ways that are beneficial and non-harmful to humans.

130g protein without meat

Johnson also revealed that despite avoiding meet he maintains a strict nutritional regimen by consuming 130 grams of protein daily from sources like flax, legumes, nuts, seeds, vegetables and collagen peptides. His diet supports a lifestyle that includes hyperbaric oxygen therapy, red light exposure, and precision sleep tracking, all aimed at slowing aging and extending lifespan.
