Watch: Video of man begging inside Bengaluru metro goes viral

BENGALURU: The video of a man begging inside a Namma Metro train has gone viral. In the footage, he is seen soliciting money in the last coach while the train was moving between Mantri Square Sampige Road and Srirampura stations.A BMRCL official said, “We are not sure when the incident took place. It appears he entered the paid area of the Green Line station after purchasing a ticket.”Metro authorities said begging is strictly prohibited in stations and trains. “Our security personnel keep a close watch on such activities. Staff members also travel in coaches to monitor activities like selling items, begging, playing loud music or occupying seats reserved for senior citizens and persons with disabilities,” the official said.
